I find it no less than amazing that so many people are opinionated about issues that they know absolutely nothing about. Regarding any issue there are three possible attitudes someone can have: 1) How can I have an opinion when I know nothing about it? 2) I know nothing about the issue but I still have an opinion about it (even a very strong one). 3) I have researched the issue and understand the different angles and have come to a conclusion. Number 1 and 3 are honest, number 2 is idiotic and arrogant.

For instance abortion. (I don’t mean the Authentic Torah opinion about this, but from a political/social outlook). How many of those “enlightened” liberals know even what an abortion is? Do they know how it is done and what the fetus goes through and what subsequent medical effects it has on the mother?

I have a relative who boasts of being “liberal”. She is for abortion, and against animal suffering (that means even an animal is better than an unborn human being) and of course against capital punishment. She has no idea what an abortion really is, and has spent ZERO time doing homework on the issue but of course has a very strong opinion about it.

That’s just the way people are. They are ignorant and arrogant.

I know absolutely nothing about Chinese history (I am interested, however, who and when they invented paper, because our Sages refer to paper quite frequently. Maybe another Authentic Jewish first. Like electricity, which was not discovered by Ben Franklin (who by the way was a gay lowlife) with his kite and key, but by our sages 2000 years earlier as is mentioned in Tosefta Beitza. Also the one of the Baalei Hatosfos and the son of the Vilna Gaon apparently discovered the light bulb or something similar to it). Therefor I have absolutely no opinion regarding any issues of Chinese history. I am totally ignorant about it and openly admit so.

It is amazing how many lash out at a variety of issues we have discussed in this blog and absolutely know nothing about what they are talking about. For instance, regarding the impostors AY Kook and JB Solovechick. I have been called the worst names by many a commenter, but all of them share a common denominator: They haven’t done their homework. They know nothing about the EPIKORSUS that these impostors have written. It’s not that they haven’t studied the issue with an open mind, they haven’t studied it at all.

So all you have to do is think it through and then you will realize the truth (hopefully…)

A Kollel Yungerman who’s learning was going very, very difficultly turned to a certain “Rabbi” and asked for advise about what he should do? The Rabbi replied “It appears that your tafkid (purpose) in life is not to be a learner, maybe consider going into business…”. The Yungerman was a little surprised by the answer and before taking any new steps he came to ask me my opinion. I replied:

“It appears to me that your tafkid in life is to be a learner no manner how difficult it may be. Hahsem loves you and therefore has given you a very hard and special task: To remain a learner regardless of what it takes! I envy your situation. Your reward will be endless….”

Rabbi Miller ZAL put things this way: There is only one thing that will make a difference in Olam HaBah: How much you suffered in this world for Torah and Mitzvos!

So next time your going is tough in any area of Torah and Yiddeshkeit don’t believe any lies that any non authentic Rabbis tell you that “this is a sign” that you should change your way of life, consult only authentic Jewish authorities and remember and be strong and conquer your enemies!

Yes we all know how dangerous the Internet is. We are not even going to go into this. When you are on the Net you are one click away from the most defiled material in the entire world.

I, myself, even after all the ideas used in this post, still post and manage this blog, almost always, via a blog client (email or Windows Live Writer).

But if you must use the Internet, here are some good ideas to keep this dangerous tool under check.

First thing is:

For heaven sake – turn off the pictures! This is easy to do in any web browser. Yes its boring without pictures, but get one thing strait:

It is impossible to be an authentic Jew and still “enjoy a complete internet experience”. You just can’t have both, so come to terms with that.

You can always turn them on again when you know you are in “safe” territory. If you come to terms with picture-less browsing you already have protected yourself from a great part of the Internet dangers.

Second Thing:

Purchase and install this program:

http://www.admuncher.com/

This, together with pictures off, will take you a long way.

Third:

Make sure EVERY PC in your possession is protected with a filter. Don’t rely on KOSHER internet providers. There is no such thing! They might help but you cannot rely on them alone. I personally use this one and am very satisfied with it:

https://onlinefamily.norton.com/

And of course do not forget to DAVEN that Hashem should save us from all Tumah!

We are not endorsing this as a way to a “Kosher” Internet, but certainly a “Better” one.

Question: Is a Young Israel “Rabbi” the standard that you want your house (wife, children etc.) exposed to on a regular basis?

Be honest, answer truthfully.

[update: I think he is a grandson of Rabbi Yaakov Kaminetsky ZAL. However that in itself means nothing. Dov Shurin (the frum, crazy, self-proclaimed drug addict) is also a grandson of Reb Yaakov.

We wish and pray to Hashem Yisborach that all Authentic Jews everywhere should be written in the book of eternal life for a happy and healthy year in Ruchnius and Gashmius.

We pray that all the simple minded Jews who the spark of Emunah still exists in their souls, should find the right road to return to Authentic Jewry as well as the strength to go down that road.

As for the Minim and Epikorsim and promoters of non-Authentic Jewish Ideology (and of course all the leaders of Zionism) – we say in Slichos of Erev Rosh Hashana:

Life that is good may you grant your servants,

redeeming their souls, from the sight of Gehinnom, as King David stated.

Not so for the wicked who threw off Your yoke;

incite death against them , may they descend to the grave alive.

Well, the holy month of Ellul is more than half over. We await the great judgment day of Rosh Hashana with awe. We must do some real Tshuvah before RH or we are going to be in real trouble. But so many of us find Tshuvah as a puzzling issue. Many don’t know where to start.

Well first class Tshuvah goes like this:

You open a Shulchan Aruch starting at Siman 1. You start reading, and as you read you honestly rate yourself: How well did I do this?, and this?, and this?. Then you go on to Siman 2 and repeat the above again until you finish the entire Shulchan Aruch. You will be over your head in what to do Tshuvah about and it will all be clearly set out for you.

However many are not up to doing Tshuvah on such a level. But that’s no reason not to do anything. If you can’t fly first class you can still fly coach. It’s not as sweet, but it will get you somewhere, and every bit of Tshuvah is precious.

So here’s what you do: Take one small thing that you know you need to improve in. Investigate the possibility that you can promise Hashem that this one thing you will NEVER, EVER,EVER,EVER do again. Then regret you did it and say Vidui etc.

This system is absolutely imperative. We must find something, anything, no matter how minute, that we can surely say this is behind us forever. We will NEVER return to it.

Maybe not talking lashon harah about a certain authentic Jew, like your mother in law. So you could say, I will do my best not to talk any Lashon Harah about anybody, but about my mother in law, never, ever again. Maybe that’s too hard for some, (I happen to have a very good mother in law) but you can choose anything. Just remember it has to be a “NEVER AGAIN”.

A great merit is to accept upon yourself not to show any respect for impostors of Judaism. Teach your children and your students to hate those who promote non-authentic Jewish ideology. Teach them why we hate them. Because, Hashem has commanded us to do so. They are destroying Hashem’s creation with their pollution.

On a certain Yom Kippur night the Holy Chazon Ish called one of his students over to him between Kol Nidrei and Maariv. He said to him that he wanted to tell him how terrible a certain impostor Rabbi was. (This was one of Kook’s followers). The student asked, “Excuse me Rebbi, is this the time to talk about such matters?”. The holy Chazon Ish replied “Now is exactly the right time to talk about this!!”
