One Simple Question about “Mishpachah”

by Rabbi Raphael Bearmant on December 3, 2009

According to the official Mishpacha website the head of the “Rabbinic” board of the magazine is Rabbi Doniel Neustadt. This Rabbi is (or was) a head of a Young Israel Congregation.

Question: Is a Young Israel “Rabbi” the standard that you want your house (wife, children etc.) exposed to on a regular basis?

Be honest, answer truthfully.

[update: I think he is a grandson of Rabbi Yaakov Kaminetsky ZAL. However that in itself means nothing. Dov Shurin (the frum, crazy, self-proclaimed drug addict) is also a grandson of Reb Yaakov.

Before all those hypocrites start screeming that Rabbi Avigdor Miller was also a leader of a “Young Israel” congregation, just remember:
He left it!

Young Israel is a wonderful orginazation. I daven there everyday with great kavana and bitachon. I couldn’t be happier there. I don’t know what you have against them.

Oh really? Is he a Gadol? How did he get such a title? Because you say so? Are you a Gadol? Which authentic Jewish authority said that Rabbi Neustadt has the credentials to be a Moshgiach Kashrus on a Jewish magazine. Just name him.
