While there are many who correctly abhor Yeshiva University, still the justification for this feeling is sometimes misconstrued. Yes, YU is a disgusting place because she tolerates homosexuals as well as other deranged personalities, however this is only a result of her real malignant cancer. The true problem with YU is that she tolerates, as well as promotes, anti-Authentic Jewish ideology. Everything else ugly at YU is only a result of this rotten nucleus. The fact that the head of YU for many years had the beautiful name “Soloveichik” makes no difference. Yitchak Avinu had a son Esav, and Esav was still Esav. Prof. JB Soloveichik was an enemy of authentic Judaism, regardless who is grandparents were.

It is worth noting that the Holy Reb Elchanan Waserman ZATZAL paskened that it was better for Yeshiva boys to stay in E Europe and risk annihilation in the Holocaust, than being saved from the later by enrolling in the Revel Yeshiva (similar to YU) in Skokie Il.
There is a very famous letter from Rabbi Yerucham Leibovitch, the Holy Mashgiach of the Mir Yeshiva, to a certain, very great Rabbi, in which he reprimands him in very strong jargon for accepting an offer to work at YU.
Someone commented that it is because of views like the ones listed here, the second Beis Mamikdash was destroyed. Well look, if you are not smart enough to possess Authentic Jewish Views, at least don’t rewrite history. The 2nd Beis HaMikdash was destroyed because of SINAS CHINAM, that means: Hatred for no reason. There is absolutely no more justifiable reason to hate someone than the fact that that person or group or institution supports and promotes Anti-Authentic Jewish Ideology.
